Actor Rahul Bhat, who had a rather dramatic comeback in showbiz through Anurag Kashyap’s Ugly last year, has bagged a key role in Prakash Jha’s upcoming Gangaajal 2. The actor who has known to be a popular TV product has had his share of struggle and will now feature in a big project.

Filmmaker Prakash Jha, who also makes his acting debut in the sequel to his 2003 cop drama Gangaajal, has said that Rahul will be seen playing a key role in the film. “Yes, we have signed Rahul in our film. He plays one of the lead roles in the film,” he said. While the 2003 gripping drama had Ajay Devgn as SP Amit Kumar in the lead, this one will not have him reprise his role.

Gangaajal 2 stars Priyanka Chopra in the lead who will don the police uniform for this one. While Prakash Jha was earlier speculated to be playing a villain in the film, it is now reported that he plays a positive role. Actor Manav Kaul will play the villain in this project, which is yet to go on the floors. As for Rahul Bhat, looks like the ‘Ugly’ comeback is finally yielding him something good.
