    Prakash Jha To Raise Awareness About NALSA

    Veteran filmmaker Prakash Jha has taken an initiative to spread awareness about NALSA alias National Legal Services Authority of India. On October 1, Saturday, Jha announced that he has produced a song ‘Ek muthi asman’. The song is meant to make people conscious about NALSA, whose purpose is to provide free legal services to eligible candidates.

    The formal announcement of this song was done yesterday, while it will release on October 7. The song with lyrics “Ek muthi asman par haq humara bhi toh hai…Apne is Hindustan par haq hamara bhi toh hai”, created by Prakash Jha Productions, has been extensively shot in more than 20 states across India. It comprises of Kashmir, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Kerala, Gujarat, Karnataka, West Bengal and Jharkhand.

    Jha credits Chief Justice of India T. S. Thakur for coming up with the idea of the song. Lyrics of the song are composed by Manoj Muntashir and music by Salim-Sulaiman. Sonu Nigam has voiced the track, which will be followed by 15 real life short stories. A 30-minute documentary showing how NALSA had played a pivotal role in providing justice to the weaker sections will also be included. It will be launched on November 9.
