Preity Zinta joins politics, to stand against Priya Dutt in Lok Sabha polls?

The pretty woman from Kal Ho Naa Ho, Preity Zinta, is stepping into a new course in her life, it seems. She is supposed to have joined politics and is gearing up to contest upcoming Lok Sabha elections with a BJP ticket. She will fight against Priya Dutt from North-Central Mumbai constituency.

Bharatiya Janata Party was on a hunt for a celebrity candidate to pitch against Congress MP Dutt and they have found Preity as the most successful candidate to serve the purpose. Sources say BJP General Secretary Rajiv Pratap Rudy wants Preity to contest the election and Rudy is also a distant relative of the actress. However, it has been learnt that Preity has turned down the offer but the party men are still trying hard to persuade her.
