    B-town actress Priyanka returned to work yesterday after she lost her father because of cancer, a week back. The diva resumed the postponed project of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, a biopic on Olympic bronze medalist Mary Kom. PeeCee didn’t change her mind for the sake of her dad as he wanted her to get back to work at the earliest.

    According to the latest updates, the diva was accompanied by her mother Madhu Chopra, as it was the first day of her shoot after her family’s huge loss. It was a mahurat shot and the30-year-oldwas dressed up in blue jersey and red short to give away a boxing ring shot. But the daddy’s little girl hasn’t yet recovered from that hardship and she broke down. According to a source, “When Priyanka’s father was unwell, Bhansali told her that the shooting of the Mary Kom biopic can wait. Then, three days ago, they spoke and Priyanka expressed her desire to resume work. Bhansali once again told her that there was no hurry.”

    The source continued saying, “She said her dad would have wanted her to work, so she would like to do so and is ready to start shooting for the film. That’s when Bhansali agreed and locked June 17 as the day for the mahurat shot.” Hats off to Priyanka for taking such a brave step. The biopic directed by Omung Kumar, is based on the journey of Mary Kom, who started from her city Manipur and became the five-time world champion. The country’s pride Mary has also been honoured with Padma Bhushan award i.e. country's third highest civilian honour.
