December 18 has been long awaited by the movie buffs as two big releases were slated for the date, namely Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale. Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial has been surrounded by controversies from quite some long after the descendents of Maratha warrior Peshwa Bajirao appealed to ban the film, as according to them, the flick distorts history. After Deepika-Ranveer starrer flick, Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale has also landed in a controversy.

Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha has led a protest against the screening of the movie in Jabalpur. It is said that BJP is miffed by Shah Rukh Khan’s comments on intolerance row. They have reportedly torn off the posters of the flick today. Right Wing groups and Vishwa Hindu Parishad has also been protesting for the same reason in Rajasthan from past few days. Infact, Bajarang Dal has filed a memorandum to the local administration against the release of SRK-Kajol starrer film.

On the other side, three shows of Bajirao Mastani have been cancelled in Pune's City Pride theatre after the decedents of Peshwa Bajirao and Chhatrasal dynasty along with BJP members had protested.
