Protesters Threaten Kabir Khan At Karachi Airport

Filmmaker Kabir Khan was all set to board a plane to Lahore when several shoe-wielding protesters threatened the Phantom director at Karachi airport. Anti-Indian slogans were shouted at the filmmaker asking him as to why he did not show the role of Pakistan’s Indian intelligence agency RAW in the Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer film. Reportedly, Khan ignored all the hassle at the departure lounge and chose not to respond.

One of the protesters reportedly shouted, “You people send Jhadav and kill hundreds here. Why don't you make a movie about it?”. One of the other slogans shouted at the Bajrangi Bhaijaan director was, “Indian conspiracies against the Pakistan Army”.

Later at a press conference, Khan said that he strongly believes in “India's secular fabric and in the friendship between India and Pakistan”. Phantom, which released in August 2015, was banned by Lahore High Court. Based on the novel by S. Hussain Zaidi, the story of the flick revolved around a retired Indian Army officer who laid out a mission to kill Pakistani terrorist leader Hafiz Saeed.
