The quest for ‘Ram-Lakhan’ gets interesting as Arjun and Varun seem top choices

The news of Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty formally announcing their association for the Ram Lakhan remake not only raised a lot of eyebrows but also pumped up a lot of hearts to speculate whether which actor will play what part. Right from the time of announcement there has been enough contemplation by the media and public with their respective choices for the title roles.

It is learnt that the makers are eyeing Arjun Kapoor as a prominent prospect to reprise Anil Kapoor’s character in the movie. The actor, who is possessed with all the qualities of his Uncle, may come out as an apt choice for the role of Lakhan. While Tiger Shroff’s name was also in chatter with some believing him to be a good choice to play Ram’s part, we hear the actor has gently expressed his unwillingness to portray the role which was played by his father in the original. Varun Dhawan is reportedly the top choice of the makers to fit in the shoes of Jackie Shroff while no further confirmation has been made yet. Ram Lakhan directed by Subhash Ghai is considered to be a breakthrough commercial masala Hindi film and with its remake happening, the excitement just goes higher. The final decision regarding any casting proceeding hasn’t been made yet but looking at the kind of choices available, one must admit, Bollywood is not short of young dynamic faces right now.
