Ra.One animator Charu Khandal critically injured in road accident

Mumbai -- National award winning animator Charu Khandal, whose team created special effects in Shahrukh Khan's Ra.One, received critical injuries in a road accident on Sunday morning, police said. A speeding black Honda City hit Charus auto-rickshaw at suburban Oshiwara here when the 28-year-old was returning home with her sister Ritu and friend Vikrant Goyal. The victims were immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital. While Ritu and Goyal also received severe injuries, Charu is battling for life due to grave injuries on her head. The driver of the Honda City was identified as Manoj Gautam, who was arrested and later on released on bail, police added.
