Radhika Apte Has Been Signed In To Star In Ashutosh Gowariker’s Next

Ashutosh Gowariker has roped in Radhika Apte to play a lead in his next. Moreover, he has approached National Award winning filmmaker Sachin Kundalkar to direct the movie. Sachin has won the National Award twice – once for directing Marathi movie ‘Nirop’ which released in 2007 and the other as a screen writer for ‘Gandha’ (2009).

A source close to the team said, "The script is locked and the pre-production work has begun. The film will have actors speaking Marathi and French and also feature certain French actors, casting for which is currently underway.”  The flick will go on floors in the second half of 2017.

Ashutosh will next be seen in Priyanka Chopra’s Marathi production Ventilator. He has also brought the rights of Vikram Sampath's 2010 novel, 'My Name is Gauhar Jaan!' which he will direct with Farhan Akhtar playing the lead. Radhika, on the other hand will be seen Akshay Kumar’s ‘Padman’ which will also star Sonam Kapoor.
