Rahul Bose participated in marathon for underprivileged children

Bollywood actor Rahul Bose along with hundreds of residents participated in a marathon held for underprivileged children in Kolkata on Sunday. Actors like Saheb Bhattacharya, Jishu Sengupta and Arijit Dutta were also there to support the noble cause.

The 20-kilometre long marathon was organized by the North-Bengal festival committee in association with a local club to create awareness for the need to guard and preserve the state's environment with a message of clean and green atmosphere. All those who participated were very excited and had a common thought of controlling pollution and preserving the environment.

Over recent years, there has been a mounting anxiety among political leaders as well as academics and activists over the increasing danger posed to the environment due to global warming, pollution and industrialisation.
