Late superstar Rajesh Khanna’s family members have been summoned by a metropolitan court to appear before it in connection with a complaint filed against them by the legendary actor’s ‘live-in’ partner Anita Advani. The woman moved to the court seeking maintenance from the estate of the late actor. Magistrate S S Deshpande, hearing the complaint under the provisions of the Domestic Violence Act, suggested both the sides to settle the matter amicably and said if they agree he would refer the case to a mediator the same day.

The judge also asked Khanna's wife Dimple Kapadia, daughters Twinkle and Rinki, and son-in-law Akshay Kumar to appear before him "without fail" on December 4. He said if the parties did not agree to a settlement, he would hear the matter and dispose it off in a month.

In her petition, Anita alleged that after Khanna’s death in July, his family members evicted her from his bungalow thereby committing an offence under the Domestic Violence Act. She also challenged the will purported to have been executed by the actor before his death, saying he had not left behind any will and that a will was forged by his family. Anita also claimed in her complaint that Rajesh Khanna grabbed and kissed her when she was 13.

“Rajesh Khanna had suddenly grabbed and kissed the complainant (Anita). She was too young to understand as she was still a minor and in awe of Rajesh Khanna,” quoting the complaint, Mid Day wrote that the actor later sexually assaulted her also.
