Rajinikanth praises Kuttram 23, film's hero Arun Vijay is overjoyed

Thalaivar Rajinikanth, who is known for encouraging talent, has heaped praise on Kuttram 23, the latest Tamil film to have taken audiences and critics alike by surprise and has worked wonders at the box-office.

The superstar had read amazing reviews of Kuttram 23, so he contacted the producers to watch the film at his Poes Garden residence and subsequently called the film’s hero Arun Vijay, who excitedly tweeted “Thalaivar called! Congratulated on my matured performance and body language. He loved the concept and making. His actual words “you proved it”(sic)”.

Rajinikanth is a close friend of Arun Vijay’s dad Vijayakumar, with whom he had shared screen space in several hit films including Panakkaran, Ejaman, Baasha and Chandramukhi.

Kuttram 23 is a medical crime thriller based on some shocking incidents involving artificial insemination and how Indian women are pressurized to give birth. Directed by Arivazhagan, Kuttram 23 has registered the best opening ever for Arun Vijay at the box-office. Sources say that producers from Tollywood and Bollywood are already vying for remake rights.
