    Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 is nearly a month away from its theatrical release after a lot of shifting around and now the films overall budget is finally out. Sankar’s film that is a sequel to Robot has hefty VFX costs involved and that sparked rumors that the budget of the film might actually have exceeded 500 crores. An insider from the film has finally put these speculations at rest and stated that 2.0 is actually made on a budget of 400 crores overall.

    That is still a big amount that the film has to recover and it is one of the most expensive movies ever made in Indian cinema. 2.0 has already recovered about 80 crores via the sale of its satellite rights and the movie is eagerly awaited by fans. The release date of the film has been set to 29 November 2018.
