Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s 'Mirzya' Music Launched

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s movies usually have phenomenal music composition. The music of his upcoming and much-awaited romantic drama ‘Mirzya’, starring Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher, got launched on September 13. The grand event was graced by the presence of Anil Kapoor, his mother Nirmal Kapoor, wife Sunita Kapoor, daughters Sonam and Rhea Kapoor, and brothers Boney and Sanjay Kapoor.

The music of the flick has been composed by Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy and lyrics have been penned by Gulzar, who has also written ‘Mirzya’. During the event, singer Daler Mehndi and the music composers performed live on some of the songs from the album while Gulzar recited few poems. Harsh’s aunts Sridevi and Maheep, and cousin Shanaya were also present at the event to support the promising actor. In addition, Saiyami’s aunts Tanvi and Shabana Azmi, and uncles Baba Azmi and Javed Akhtar also made an appearance in the event. Rakeysh's son Vedant was also there at the event.

The flick is slated for release on October 7. Touching upon how it feels before the movie’s release, Rakeysh shared, "There is a lot of emotion... A lot of pain”. Anil got teary-eyed at the music launch and stated, “It is a very joyous moment for me today. My son Harshvardhan is here. Beta ho toh aisa ho (A son should be like him). But I want to say, he doesn't listen to me at all”. The actor also shared, “I've been requesting Gulzar saab to work with me for the last 32 years but he has not done so. So I'm overwhelmed when I see him and my son together”.

It seems that the event had happy moments blended with some teary ones.
