Ranbir Kapoor to play a superhero in Ayan Mukerji’s untitled next?

Actor Ranbir Kapoor, whose latest releasedirected by Ayan Mukerji Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani turned out to be a blockbuster, is likely to team up with the filmmaker again. The buzz hovering in the B-town is that Ranbir is going to play a totally different character from his last releases. The30-year-oldwill reportedly play a superhero in Ayan Mukerji’s untitled project.

The actor, who is known for his versatility in films like Saawariya, Barfi, Rockstar etc. will now try hands in a new genre. If Ranbir approves this venture, he will come in the league after Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan, who have portrayed superheroes in KrrishandRa.Onerespectively. PresentlyAyan is on holidays in Barcelona, where he is preparing a script for another ambitious venture. The maker will talk on the project details to the actor as soon as he returns to Mumbai.

A source close to the film reveals, "Ranbir trusts Ayan's abilities. He has enjoyed working with the filmmaker so far, and is looking forward to their next outing together. This film will be mounted on a much bigger scale than their earlier projects." It was also noted thatAyanhas chosen Ranbir to cash on his fan following amongst children.
