Rani Mukherjee’s Father Ram Mukherjee Passes Away

It is a matter of grief that renowned filmmaker Ram Mukherjee, who is the father of Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee is no more. The multi-talented director had passed away in Mumbai at 4 am on October 27. The cause of his death is unknown however, he has been unwell for quite some time.

Latest reports reveal that Ram Mukherjee will be cremated at Vile Parle’s Pawan Hans crematorium at 3 pm today. The director was also known to have worked in Bengali and Hindi film industries simultaneously.  He even launched his daughter Rani Mukherjee in a Bengali film, titled, Biyer Phool.

Further, he was the producer of Rani’s Hindi debut film Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat. Ram Mukherjee had worked in films like Hum Hindustani and Leader starring Dilip Kumar and Vyjayanthimala. He is also actress Kajol and director Ayan Mukerji’s uncle. He left behind his wife Krishna, Rani and son Raja.
