Ranveer Singh Rejected Over Farhan Akhtar For Bhaag Milkha Bhaag

On one side Ranveer Singh bagged a role originally written for Salman Khan (Bajirao Mastani) and on the other side Bhaag Milkha Bhaag director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has revealed that Ranveer also auditioned for the 2013 film based on the life of Milkha Singh but was rejected for being “quite crazy”. The Gunday star was one amongst the three people who auditioned for the role. The filmmaker says that Farhan was selected for his serenity.

“Farhan came as an instinctive choice. His age was wrong- Farhan was 36, Milkha was 22. But I felt out of all the auditions I had seen he was the best. There were three people who stood out- one was a new actor called Nitish, one was Ranveer Singh, who was quite crazy and then Farhan”, the director revealed to a leading daily.

“For me Farhan worked the best because his response was silent. I could see it in his eyes. That was it. That was enough for me”, added the director.
