Remo D’souza on new film with the Salman Khan: He will dance like never before

Remo D’souza is all set with his fourth directorial project and like his other films, this one, too, will be about dance. However, Remo says that he would be more than happy to direct a film which has a different concept. “It’s not necessary that every film that I direct will have dance in it. I would love to explore different areas,” says Remo, who directed the popular musical franchise of ABCD: Any Body Can Dance and will soon be seen judging a dance reality show.

Remo gives himself a pat on the back for introducing contemporary dance in films and making dance films a popular genre. “I am the reason why this dance form became so popular in Bollywood and I would take the credit because I started it,” he says.

The choreographer will direct actor Salman Khan for the first time in his next, and it will be interesting to watch the actor do typical contemporary dance, something he is not familiar with. Will it be a challenge to get Salman to do those tricky steps? “You will see Salman dancing like never before. The challenge is for me to make him dance in a new way. The preparations and rehearsals have started. The pre-production is on, we are working on the story and on the schedule,” says Remo.

He clears the speculations that the film with Salman is the third installment in the ABCD franchise.“It is not ABCD 3. This is completely new film with a different subject and name,” he says.
