Roy's chartbusters

The music of Jacqueline Fernandez and Ranbir Kapoor’s Roy has been playing on loop on many music apps. Thanks to some catchy numbers. Well, Bhuashan Kumar’s T Series is known for being a music giant, who has backed films such as Aashiqui 2 and Yaariyan. Now, Roy is yet another musical masterpiece.

“We were bullish about the music from day one because we knew we had a good album in hand. I'm happy that our conviction has paid off,” says producer Bhushan Kumar.

The trailer of Roy that crossed 3 million views on YouTube in just 3 days of its release and today sees around 6 million views is already topping the music charts.

Roy, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez, saw the digital launch of the music on 11th Jan. The first song Sooraj Dooba Hai is a peppy number, and has been composed by Amaal Mallik and sung by Arijit Singh and Aditi Singh Sharma. It has crossed 6 million viewership already. Making its place in the top 5 is also, Tu Hai Ki Nahi sung and composed by Ankit Tiwari is a soulful piece. And the foot-tapping number Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan, composed by Meet Bros Anjjan and sung by Babydoll fame singer Kanika Kapoor, is already a hit with party goers.

T-Series recently released the last two songs from the album, Boond Boond and Yaara Re composed by Ankit Tiwari are of extremely different genres. Where Boond Boond is a soft sensuous romantic track featuring Arjun and Jacqueline romancing, Yaara Re is a song that speaks about heartbreak, and has been sung by KK.
