    Sabarmati Jail Gets Inspired By Akshay Kumar Starrer ‘Padman’

    It seems that Akshay Kumar starrer ‘ Padman ’ has successfully created its magic. The movie has been received well by the audience and has raked in good business at the box-office. The movie has also created a shift in the perception of many Indian minds.



    According to news published on timesofindia.indiatimes.com, Sabarmati Central Jail has taken an initiative to create a production unit in women’s jail to manufacture sanitary napkins. The motive behind this initiative is to create jobs for convicts in women jail. Moreover, two renowned non-government organisations have been called in to set up a production unit in the jail.



    The two NGOs are Navajivan and Karma Foundation. Regarding the initiative, Priyanshi Patel, who is the managing trustee of Karma Foundation stated, “Many things are manufactured inside prisons, but there is no work for women prisoners. Production of sanitary napkins could be work in which these women could be engaged in. We will train the prisoners for this and production will start by March 1”.
