Though the year 2016 was without any release but 2017 seemed to be packed schedule for Saif Ali Khan with four releases ‘Rangoon’, ‘Kalakandi’, ‘Chef’ and ‘Baazaar’. While his last film ‘Rangoon’ failed to leave an impression on audience, however, his suave corporate look in ‘Baazaar’ took the limelight.  And now we heard that the actor might star in director Nikhil Advani’s next.

Saif has been approached by Nikhil for his forthcoming directorial venture Batla House, which will be based on famous Batla House encounter that took place in 2008 against Indian Mujahideen terrorists who were residing in a place called Batla House in Delhi. "Nikkhil wanted an older, experienced actor to play the role of Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma. He has already bounced the idea to Saif and he has liked it,” said a source.

However, the 46-year-old has something else to say when quizzed about the film. He said, "We haven’t signed anything yet. We are talking about it. But I’m still sinking into Baazaar. Once I get comfortable, we will start talking about it." If Saif says yes to the film, it will be the first time that the Hum Tum star will be playing a cop. The flick will mark his third stint with Nikkhil after Kal Ho Naa Ho and Baazaar.
