Salman Khan gets new girl Karishma Kotak for Mental

A huge applauding moment arrives in Karishma Kotak’s life that she would never like to forget. The British-Indian model and actress Karishma has been selected overCocktailstar Diana Penty and several other contenders, to play the lead role opposite superstar Salman Khan in Sohail Khan’s upcoming filmMental. Reportedly, Sallubhai also played a vital role in selecting Karishma for the female lead.

A close source informed, "Salman has had a good equa with Kotak ever since he shot a TV commercial with her last year. In fact, he also advocated for her inclusion inBigg Boss 6. He believes the model can deliver a strong performance on screen." Both the brothers, Salman and Sohail, were looking to launch a new face in their upcoming film,Mentalthat was earlier titledRadhe.

Till date, Kotak has been quite successful in her modelling career, walking the ramp forLondon Fashion Week. She also modelled for Vijay Mallya's bikini calendar and shared screen space withAbhishek Bachchanand Salman Khan in commercials. Karishma debuted in the film industry with Chiranjeevi in the Telugu filmShankar Dada Zindabad.

But Bollywood seemed not to be on her side for a long time. Though she starred inSeason's Greetingsin 2010, she did not get enough opportunity to show her acting skills on the silver screen. Karishma neither confirmed, nor denied the news, while Sohail was also unavailable for further comments.Mentalis expected to commence shooting on February 15.
