Salman Khan, Kapil Sharma Remaking The Same Film

Both Salman Khan and Kapil Sharma have acquired the rights of the Marathi comedy film ‘Shahanpan Dega Deva’. Salman will be remaking the film in Hindi while Kapil will make a Punjabi version based on it. The Sultan actor forayed into production last year with his film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Hero’.

Kapil’s K9 Productions has previously produced his own two comedy shows, Comedy Nights with Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show. Though the comedian has had some experience as a producer, he has not ventured on to the big screen. On the other hand, Salman’s Salman Khan Productions already has two movies under its banner.

The 2011 Marathi film told the story of five mentally unstable men who are undergoing treatment at a private mental asylum. It was directed by Sudesh Manjrekar and starred Ankush Choudhary, Bharat Jadhav, Siddharth Jadhav, Vidyadhar Joshi and Santosh Juvekar. It would be quite interesting to see what Salman and Kapil have planned for the remakes.
