Salman Khan Opens Up About His Experience

Debuting in 1988 with the film Biwi Ho To Aisi, Salman couldn’t leave a prominent mark with it on the industry. Then in 1999 came Maine Pyar Kiya, which established the superstar’s position and talent in Bollywood. The movie was directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya and the actor states that a lot has changed since then, except for the bond that the director and Salman share.

According to a Times of India interview, Salman said, “I have gone slightly harder. I have experienced a lot. I have gone through a little bit in my life. Actually I am a bit more scared now of being misunderstood and misquoted. I never thought till some time ago that people could misunderstand my intentions, as I would assume that my intention was pure, so it would always be understood. But that would not be understood. Actually, I feel that it does not make me a difference if someone takes a little bit of advantage of me, I say to myself, let it go."

Claiming that his journey through the industry would have been very different had he not done Maine Pyar Kiya, the actor praised Sooraj and said, “Sooraj and me are 100% the same when it comes to our honesty, simplicity and family values. He is full on romantic. I am not romantic at all. I am practical.”
