Salman Khan Says Awards Don’t Matter Much In My Life

Salman Khan, who was nominated in award ceremonies this year for his work in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, feels that young actors should be honoured and give chance to win awards. The superstar is not desirous of getting nominated at all for the awards as these laurels don’t matter much to him. The actor likes attending award functions but he also believed in providing an open field for the actors of younger generation, so that they can win these honours.

Speaking with PTI, Salman expressed his feelings and said, "I feel very happy when others get awards but they don't matter much in my life. I like award functions as the whole industry comes together. We all keep busy, so at award functions, we get to meet our friends and it feels nice".

He further went on stating, "I say delete me from the competition. We are here since long, we have been nominated. I can come and perform, attend the award shows but I think now young generation should be given a chance to win awards," he said.
