Salman Khan, Shahid Kapoor to appear onscreen together for the first time

Big news has just emerged that Bollywood hunks Salman Khan and Shahid Kapoor are all set to share the screen space for the first time ever. The lucky opportunity for their fans has come in the way with Raj Kumar Santoshi's upcoming film Phata Poster Nikla Hero.

While it has been learnt that Shahid will step into the shoes of a police officer in the film, Salman’s role has been kept confidential till date. According to a close source, "They shot the scene with Salman Khan over the last weekend at a suburban studio. The shoot lasted for six hours or so. And Rajkumar wants it to be a surprise for the audience. So, no one - apart from the actors involved in the scene - is aware of what his role is."

Shahid’s spokesperson also confirmed the news of this collaboration, "Yes, Shahid and Salman shot together a few days ago." Rajkumar and Salman are known to be good friends. Hence Salman couldn’t refuse the director’s offer to take part in the film. But unluckily the leading lady of the film Ileana D'Cruz will not have an opportunity to appear in the particular scene, featuring Salman. The film is on the verge of wrapping up its production work only with some finishing touch left. It’s expected that within a month the crew will be done with the film’s shooting process.
