Salman not to produce Kareena’s next, directed by Raj Kumar Gupta

Raj Kumar Gupta, the Aamir director, is struggling to find a financer for his upcoming project which stars Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead. It has been revealed that Salman Khan was earlier in talks to produce the said project.  However, because of high cost of production and other financial issues, the Dabangg actor’s production house has backed out.

A source close to the project said, “The script written by Ritesh Shah (Kahaani, D Day, B.A Pass) is outstanding but the film has to be mounted on a big scale”. The failing of the deal definitely has left the No One Killed Jessica director distressed. But he needs to quickly look out for a potential producer to start the shoot.

Gupta had admitted, "Yes, at one point we were talking to Salman Khan's banner to produce my film with Kareena Kapoor. But the deal didn't come through. At the moment, we are talking to other studios and one should come on-board soon." The Heroine will be seen playing the role of a schizophrenic in the flick.
