Sangeeta Bijlani returns to cinema with Shab

Former Miss India Sangeeta Bijlani was yesterday in news for joining her ex-beau Salman Khan and now it is learnt that the actress is making a comeback to silver screen after 14 years with a movie titled ‘Shab’. The 53-year-old is quite excited to work in the upcoming project with co-star Arpita Pal and says, "I never thought of a comeback and am still not looking for a serious career reboot. There were offers earlier too but I wasn't ready. It's all about timing and Shab is an exciting project."

Sangeeta was active in films until 1997 and her last movie was Jagannath. Then she left her first love cinema as she fell for cricketer Mohd Azharuddin. They both got married and Bijlani never worked in films after that. Onir, the director of Shab, was confident of Sangeeta’s talent. The actress comments, "Onir was confident that I fit the part and asked me to read it with an open mind. We grew comfortable with each other and I gave him the nod because the role was well-sketched."
