Sanjay Dutt’s Jail Time Keeps Him Away From His Kids

Khalnayak actor Sanjay Dutt missed his children’s birthday for the third time due to his jail sentence. He has been imprisoned since May 2013 and is locked up at Pune’s Yerwada Central Jail. The actor sends out handmade birthday cards to his children to make up for his absence.

Sanjay has two kids, Shahraan and Iqra Dutt, who turned five on October 21. The twins out a special message for their father and will present it to him when he is released. According to an insider, “Both of them are extremely attached to their father, and can’t wait to have him back home, which is expected to be some time next year”. The insider added, “Shahraan and Iqra are always happy to receive these cards, and they never let the cards out of their sight”.

Sanjay was arrested in 1993 for illegal possession of firearms. It was speculated that the actor knew about the Mumbai blasts. He was pronounced guilty for the possession but the judge cleared him of being a terrorist.
