Satya 2: Ram Gopal Varma comes back with Puneet Singh Ratn, Anaika Soti

The 1998 crime thriller Satya helped director Ram Gopal Varma win six Filmfare awards and now the filmmaker is back with its sequel, Satya 2. Helmed by Varma and co-produced by Samanth Kumar Reddy and Sudheer Chandra Reddy Padiri, Puneet Singh Ratn and actress Anaika Soti will be seen in the lead roles in the sequel.

As evident from the second trailer of Satya 2, it seems Varma has planned something different from the first part which was a ground-breaking one in the history of Indian cinema. The trailer shows a man, who is quite familiar with the mistakes of the previous gangsters, dreams to set up his own underworld company.The role of this ambitious man is played by Puneet while Anaika plays his love interest. RGV tweeted, “Satya was a man who came in 1998, got into the underworld and died... Satya 2 is about a man who comes in 2013 to reinvent the underworld.” We really hope that Varma’s innovative Satya 2 excels its predecessor, Satya the blockbuster.
