Selection For Oscars Doesn't Interest Me: Salman Khan

Selection For Oscars Doesn't Interest Me: Salman Khan

While the ultimate success of the film is considered as winning an Oscar, Salman Khan refuses to agree with that. The Dabangg star says that the selection for Oscars doesn’t interest him. Instead, what matters is the response of audiences; and that’s what describes the success of a film, in his view.

Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan was competing against ‘Court’, the film which is India’s official entry for Oscars. When asked about the same, the Kick star said, “We made the film for our audiences here.. (for) people of Asia. People have liked the film in India, Pakistan and now in China. I don't make films for business”.

The Wanted star also said, “It is painful (working on a film) and it looks like we are having fun but we are not. My job as an actor is to put myself in trouble, to go against age and against everything. So, when the people go to theatres they should have fun. My job ends there. After that what (film) goes where (Oscars) doesn't matter... It doesn't interest me”.
