Shah Rukh Khan underwent an arthroscopic surgery for knee yesterday. The Happy New Year star was operated at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai and has been advised to take a 3-4 days rest. The My Name is Khan actor will continue with shooting for Raees thereafter.

Shah Rukh’s surgeon Sanjay Desai said, “Mr Khan has been suffering from repeated pain and swelling of left knee over the last several months. Today's surgery confirms chondral wear of Patella, which is due to repeated injuries over the last few years. Based on today's arthroscopic evaluation, future management will be planned. He has recovered well and is likely to be discharged tomorrow (Friday)”.

After the surgery, the Chak De! India star tweeted about his repeated visits to hospital. “Do they do Frequent Fliers Miles in Hospitals? If yes, I would own some of the hospitals! Thx all for standing by me as I pray on my knees”, said SRK. While shooting for Farah Khan’s Happy New Year, the Chennai Express actor fractured his shoulder and also tore his left knee's patellar tendon.
