Shah Rukh Khan: Wish Singham 2 breaks Chennai Express’s record

Bollywood’s badshah is badshah of heart as well. His recent release, Rohit Shetty's romantic comedy Chennai Express broke the box office record after doing a business of 300 crore and wishes that the director’s next project breaks all records. Shah Rukh commented in an interview, "I would pray that Inshallah his (Rohit Shetty) next Singham 2 does much more business than Chennai Express because he deserves it."

Singham 2 will star Ajay Devgn in the lead where he will be seen reprising the character of Bajirao Singham. Reliance Entertainment will produce this action film. Shah Rukh starrer Chennai Express collected Rs. 100 crore in just 3 days and became the first flick to fetch an amount of Rs. 300 crore. King Khan crowned Rohit for the success of his film.

The actor stated, "Being a director is a very lonely job. So you don't just thank them, you just stand by them. For the film also, as an actor, and as a friend we all tried to stand by him (Shetty)..." He also said that he will always support Rohit’s films whenever he will direct, "So we all are very very thrilled and we would like to stand by him, wherever he is as a director." Singham 2 is expected to go on floors later this month. This sequel will replace Kajal Aggarwal with Asin Thottumkal in the lead.
