    Fresh troubles have erupted for Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone starrer Chennai Express as Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has threatened to pose problems before the film’s release on August 9. The party’s film unit is unpleasant with the reports that Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express’ prime slots in statewide single cinemas may affect the screening of some Marathi movies.

    Maharashtra Navnirman Chitrapat Karmachari Sena (film wing) chief Amey Khopkar issued a warning, "If the producers ofChennai Expressattempt to dislodge any of the ongoing or forthcoming Marathi movies, we shall not tolerate it and deal with it in MNS style.” His special reference was the superhit Marathi movie Duniyadari which is running housefull in single screen cinemas in non-metro cities and small towns since July 19.

    Khopkar said that owners of all single cinema halls and other cinemas have been issued letters requesting not to replace Duniyadari shows with Chennai Express. He declared, "If theChennai Expressproducers attempt to do this, we shall not let the movie be exhibited in cinemas of the state. We shall also remove their publicity posters from Thursday (August 1, 2013).” Duniyadari tells the story of the journey of a modern wealthy youngster's life, starring Swapnil Joshi and Urmila Kanitkar in lead roles.
