    Shah Rukh Khan’s Wax Figure To Get Redressed For ‘Fan’

    The makers of Shah Rukh Khan’s much-anticipated film ‘Fan’ have come out with a unique promotional gimmick for the movie as SRK’s wax figure at Madame Tussauds is all set to be redressed as ‘Gaurav’, one of his characters from the Maneesh Sharma directorial. Not only this, the statue will also be taken out to the iconic London Eye for the public to see. ‘Fan’ starring SRK in two characters, namely Gaurav and Aryan Khanna, is all set to hit the screens on April 15.

    Revealing the news, the Vice President of YRF International said in a statement, “We have had a long standing relationship with Madame Tussauds, and hold the attraction in high esteem. Placing the Madame Tussauds wax figure as a film character at a public place where crowds throng is an exciting opportunity for SRK fans”. He also revealed that the film comprises of a scene which was shot in Madame Tussauds.

    About why the makers chose London Eye, a source told Mumbai Mirror, “It is the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom and draws over 3.75 visitors every year. This year, many locals and visitors will get a chance to get up close and clicked with the Badshah”. Shah Rukh’s statue was unveiled at Madame Tussauds in 2007. He is the third Bollywood celebrity after Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to get waxed at the museum in London.
