Shah Rukh's 'Raees’ To Release On Set Date, Reveals Ritesh Sidhwani

While Bollywood fans were looking forward to an official announcement about recent speculations revolving around Mahira Khan’s replacement in Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming action thriller ‘Raees’, other rumours linked to the film popped up. It was being said that the movie, which is slated for release on the occasion of Republic Day next year, was rescheduled for release due to the ban of Pakistani artistes post the Uri terror attack. However, such reports are merely speculations and the same has been confirmed by the flick’s producer Ritesh Sidhwani.

“We are sticking to the release date we announced earlier for Raees”, Ritesh stated, adding, “I don't think something like a ban has happened. The association has itself written to the government that people who have already made their films, who have completed their shooting, we should respect that. Let those movies release and whatever the government decides in the future, they will take a call on that”.

Touching upon the Pakistani artistes’ ban, Ritesh stated, “I don't want to comment on that. It is very sensitive. Right now everything is very heated, I don't think it is the right moment to talk about it”. And now that the producer has himself spoken up on the rescheduling rumours, we wish for the movie’s peaceful release.
