Shahid Achieved All On His Own, Says Father Pankaj Kapur

From his debut film Ishq Vishk to his latest released film Haider, there is no flick in which the Shaandaar star wasn’t applauded for his performance. Although, there came a point when his career sought a slow down and his films didn’t strike the right chords with the audiences but Shahid was never put in doubt for his acting skills. Up ahead his next release on October 22, his father Pankaj Kapur, who will be seen sharing screen space with the heartthrob of Bollywood, has applauded Shahid’s escalating stardom, saying, “He (Shahid) has done it. Achieved all on his own. I had told him if you need any support we are there with you as parents”.

About Shaandaar, which marks the debut of his daughter Sanah Kapoor, the veteran actor said, “This film marks the debut of my daughter. I am in the supportive cast. My son is hero and daughter is there in the film, so thought we will get some time to be together. We had a great time working together”.

Revealing how happy and proud he is for his kids, the 61-year-old actor told PTI, “I believe your children should work on their own and make a name for themselves. By doing this they become confident. My parents did this with me and I tried to do the same with my children. I think the biggest example of this is my son Shahid who did everything on his own without my help”.
