Shahid Kapoor’s Rangoon, which also starred Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali Khan, may have failed to make any impression on the ticket windows, the actor has set his sights on bigger things. He’s expressed a desire to play wrestler Babita Phogat on screen. The wrestler, on her part, didn’t waste any time in giving her nod: She tweeted on Wednesday that he can play Babita in Dangal 2.

“@shahidkapoor sir i read in newspaper anywhere ki aapki wish h ki aap babita phogat ka roll play kare dangal 2 se ye wish puri hogi aapki,” she wrote.

Shahid was more than happy for the response and tweeted, “Haha that’s so sweet of you babita. You really are such an inspiration.”

Babita then promised she will meet the Rangoon star soon.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal saw Aamir Khan playing former wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat who trained his daughters Babita and Geeta for wrestling and they went ahead to win Olympic gold medals for India.
