Shahrukh-Rohit working together again but it’s not a Chennai Express sequel

The king of Blockbusters Rohit Shetty who doesn’t believe in taking a break has all his eyes set ready for the next he’s with SRK on. The director has apparently cleared the air that the duo isn’t working on the 2013’s superhit Chennai Express but something else.

Rohit, who works day and night at a pace virtually unmatchable, is currently working on Singham Returns with Ajay Devgn but the filmmaker has already locked the script he’s working on with Shahrukh Khan. At a recent event where Rohit was thrown a lot of questions about the choice of his actors and movies, he had a lot to say, “I don’t have a wish list of actors. I am happy working with Ajay and Shah Rukh only. But it all depends on the subject and if I feel there is a particular actor who will suit a film, then definitely I will work with that actor.” On being asked about his next project the Golmaal director said I pre-plan my films, like the next film that I will be doing with Shah Rukh… we have already written it. When I was working on Chennai Express, Singham Returns was already written. I have the same team and we keep working, My next film with Shah Rukh is not called Punjab Express. It is not a sequel to Chennai Express. It is a different story completely. We will start working on it next year”, said Rohit clearing all the doubts.

Rohit Shetty’s style of work is pretty quick and exciting. The director has had a release every year since he made Golmaal in 2006. He’s made big hits every year like Sunday in 2007, Golmaal Returns in 2008, All the Best in 2009, Golmaal 3 in 2010, Singham in 2011, Bol Bachchan in 2012, Chennai Express in 2013 and now Singham Returns in 2014 while he’s ready with his next to follow up as well. But it’s important if SRK’s calendar is flexible enough to take out time since he’s currently working on Farah Khan’s Happy New Year and would then start working for YRF’s Fan followed by Excel’s Raees. Well as for the audience they have a treat in both hands.
