Shashi Kapoors cataract operation successful

Veteran actor Shashi Kapoor had a cataract operation in the Kokilaben Hospital by Dr. Seema Behl. He underwent a cataract surgery at the hospital. He is doing well and was discharged today, Dr Ram Narain, COO, Kokilaben Hospital, told PTI. He debuted as a child artist in 1948 with Aag and his first solo hero movie was Dharamputra in 1961.The actor has acted in films like Jab Jab Phool Khile, Kanyadaan, Sharmeelee, Aa Gale Lag Jaa, Chor Machaye Shor, etc. Apart from delivering hits in B-Town, Kapoor has also produced and directed Indo-English films and was honoured with Padma Bhushan last year.
