Shatrughan Sinha Slams Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati, Karni Sena Applauds His Act
In midst of so much chaos, Padmavati again faces the wrath of another veteran actor. Shatrughan Sinha, who is also a politician has hit out to filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali for holding a private screening of Padmavati for select media persons. As Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has not certified the film the actor is against the film.
Speaking at the sidelines of an event organised by Karni Sena, the actor said that Bhansali has broken his promise as earlier he had promised to screen the film first to the members of Karni Sena. And for this act of the veteran actor, the Bihar unit of Sri Rajput Karni Sena has felicitated Shatrughan Sinha by presenting a photograph of queen Padmini.
The controversy started as Karni Sena members objected to an intimate scene between Rani Padmini portrayed by actress Deepika Padukone and Alauddin Khilji depicted by Ranveer Singh. Bhansali had also clarified that there are no such dream sequences in the film, however, it has not been accepted yet.
