Shershah: Sidharth Malhotra Starrer Vikram Batra Biopic Gets A New Title!

It has been more than a year that Kargil Hero, Captain Vikram Batra’s biopic had been announced. Karan Johar had proudly declared that he is happy to make a film on Vikram Batra, a martyr of Kargil who is remembered for his unparallel bravery and his ability to laugh even at the face of adversities. It was also announced that Sidharth Malhotra will play Vikram Batra in his biopic and a few months later, Kiara Advani was confirmed as the leading lady in the film. The film was still hanging and in the meanwhile, Sidharth has shot Marjavaan while Kiara has been a small part in Kalank and will play the female lead in Arjun Reddy remake, Kabir Singh.

But we have good news for fans. Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani starrer has finally got some push. The film, that was tentatively titled ‘Yeh Dil Maange More’ after Batra’s favourite catchphrase, has now gotten a new title. The film will now be called Shershaah.

The film will be directed by Vishnu Varadhan who is a popular Tamil director. He has earlier directed films like Billa, which is an all-time blockbuster, and Arrambam. It will be produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Shabbir Boxwala, Ajay Shah and Himanshu Gandhi. The shoot will begin soon.

Earlier too, Vikram Batra had found cinematic representation in the film L.O.C. Kargil where his character was played by Abhishek Bachchan.
