Shiv Sena Bans Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan From Entering Maharashtra

Shiv Sena has prohibited Pakistani singer Ghulam Ali from performing in Maharashtra, has blackened writer Sudheendra Kulkarni's face for assisting Pakistani foreign minister’s book launch in the city, has targeted BCCI for reviving cricketing ties with Pakistan, and now they have attacked on Bollywood. Shiv Sena has banned the entry of Pakistani actors, including Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan in state. And this, they have done solely because they are Pakistanis.

The party has proclaimed that they will not allow “these Pakistanis” to enter their state for promotions of their upcoming film. “We have taken a stand not to allow any Pakistani actor, cricketer or performer to step on Maharashtra soil. Shiv Sena won’t let the Pakistani actors in the films -- Mahira Khan (Raees) and Fawad Khan (Ae Dil Hai Mushkil) -- promote the films in Maharashtra”, said Chitrapat Sena general secretary Akshay Bardapurkar.

“We are not really bothered about who is signing these Pakistanis in their film. Karan Johar, Farhan Akhtar, Shah Rukh Khan etc. are responsible citizens and they should not cast Pakistanis in their film”, he continued. Fawad Khan stars in Karan Johar’s upcoming film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil whereas Mahira Khan is making debut in Bollywood with Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees.
