Shraddha Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapoor In OK Kanmani Remake: Karan Johar

Aashiqui 2 fame actors Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor to feature in the Hindi remake of hit Tamil romantic film O Kandhal Kanmani. The actors are all set to bring back their onscreen chemistry. Filmmaker Karan Johar confirmed the news on the social networking site Twitter.

The Tamil make of OK Kanmani was directed by Mani Ratnam and featured actors Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menon in the lead. The Bollywood remake of the movie is said to be directed by Shaad Ali. Director Shaad Ali has earlier made famous movies like Bunty Aur Babli and Kill Dill. Director Shaad has worked as an assistant for Ratnam and remade his own 2000 Kollywood romantic drama Alaipayuthey in Hindi as Saathiya with actors Rani Mukerji and Vivek Oberoi.

According to reports, singer-songwriter A. R. Rahman will compose music for the remake of the film, he also gave music for the original movie. The film will be made under KJo’s Dharma Production banner. The director-producer took to twitter to confirm the news.
