Shruti Haasan: I Have Never Ever Used Nepotism To Move Ahead In My Career

Musician turned Actress Shruti Haasan recently opened up about her experience regarding nepotism. The daughter of well-known actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika says that nepotism has been harder for her as compared to most of the people who are part of the film industry.

During a promotional event for her upcoming movie ‘Behen Hogi Teri’, the Luck star was quoted as saying, "I am very, very proud of being Kamal Haasan and Sarika's daughter. I am very proud of my surname, but I can also very proudly say that I have never ever used it to move ahead in my career". The actor further added that she was a musician before she stumbled upon her acting career unlike today’s youngsters who are pursuing their career in a planned and organised manner.

The D-day star closed her statement by saying that she was not serious in the start, but later fell in love with acting and cinema by her own perspective and feels great for the honour of portraying another person’s life. Her upcoming flick ‘Behen Hogi Teri’ also stars Rajkumar Rao and Gulshan Grover.
