Shuddhi cast finalised with Salman Khan-Kareena Kapoor Khan?

The tinsel town as well as the media has been abuzz with speculations about the casting couch for Karan Johar’s massive project, Shuddhi, which has struck several roadblocks so far. But finally it seems the makers have taken a decision about the leading cast for the film which will feature Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Earlier the first choice for the male lead, Hrithik Roshan, quit from the project due to his health issues and since then the project was on its way to be shelved off, almost. But it’s Salman who has helped the makers of Shuddhi to dream again about their much-awaited epic venture. Kareena was also reported to have quitting the project but now it seems differences between the makers and Kareena have been sorted out for better. Kareena is regarded as a sister by Karan and apart from their professional relationship, the duo shares a good rapport on their personal front too.

According to a source, "Karan has always considered Kareena as his sister and there is no rift between them, Due to Hrithik's brain surgery Shuddhi was delayed indefinitely which also affected Kareena's date. But now all is clear and the film soon will be on floors.” This will be the first time Salman will be playing a lead role in any Karan Johar film. Earlier he was seen in a guest appearance in Karan’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. On the other hand this is the fifth time Salman and Kareena are pairing up for a film and whenever this duo has worked together the film has proved a box-office blockbuster. So wait for Shuddhi begins.
