Wasn't It Supposed To Be Siddharth Malhotra In Mahesh Bhatt's Sadak 2?

Mahesh Bhatt is back to the director’s chair with Sadak 2. A sequel to the 1991 film Sadak, starring Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt, is being developed. The sequel is set to go on floors with the most amazing star cast of Alia Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur. The question is, ‘was Aditya Roy Kapur not the first choice?’

 The buzz is that Siddharth Malhotra was the first choice of this Bhatt family collab instead of Aditya Roy Kapur. Sid and Alia were also heard of to be pairing in Ashiqui 3, which was put on hold for Sadak 2, but this idea has been put down. The evident reason behind Siddharth loosing this project is the alleged breakup with Alia Bhatt, though they were liptight about their relationship but in Bollywood, love is not easy to hide. Alia and Aditya will be a refreshing pair, as we have seen Aditya’s cameo in Dear Zindagi, this pairing was indeed awaited.

Alia Bhatt announced this dream project on social media wishing Daddy Bhatt a happy birthday in the most adorable way. The post read, "On your 70th Birthday you have given me the greatest present I could ask and dream for. You are directing me! Sadak 2 is a dream come true.” This has caused a stir on social media, the fans are going gaga over Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt’s comeback as a pair.
