Siddharth, who is bound by contract to not reveal much about the project, praises Rani and calls her an extremely cooperative. The movie is an inspiring story that narrates the life of a woman who turns her biggest weakness into strength. Recently, the makers shared a video announcing that shooting has begun, where Rani is seen writing on a blackboard. The first look triggered speculation that Rani might be playing the role of a school teacher in the film. Ask Siddharth about it and he quips, “I can’t say, but if the image is giving you this idea, then it might be that.”

On being quizzed if he feels the pressure of the expectations running high on Hichki, the filmmaker adds, “I am just concentrating on making a good film. It’s an honest effort from my side towards the script. We will think about the expectations later. At the end of the day, I should feel satisfied about my work.”

Siddharth had earlier directed We Are Family (2010) starring Arjun Rampal, Kajol and Kareena Kapoor Khan but the film didn’t garner good response at the box-office. “It definitely hurts when your film doesn’t do well. But if I continue thinking about that, then it won’t be possible for me to move ahead. I just make sure that I don’t repeat my mistake and work harder,” he concludes.
