Is Sidharth Malhotra In Anees Bazmee's Romantic Comedy?

If reports are to be believed, Sidharth Malhotra might be seen in Anees Bazmee ’s next, which is expected to be a romantic comedy. Reports are rife that the actor-director duo recently met at the latter’s office to discuss the script. Reports further suggested that the actor has given his nod for the film which will be a solo-led movie.However, nothing has been confirmed yet and a formal confirmation is awaited

In the meantime, the actor is now gearing up for a biopic on Kargil martyr, Param Vir Chakra Captain Vikram Batra. Reports suggest, the biopic is tentatively titled ‘Kargil: Sher Shah’. In a recent interview, the actor revealed why it took him so long to star in a biopic. He said, "A biopic needs to mean something. As an actor, I need to feel the connection. A biopic is not a fictitious story. It is based on a real person and I think one needs to handle that with a lot of sensitivity. The character that I'll be playing next is very sensitive and his story is also quite touching. When I was approached for the film, and they spoke to me about the character, I felt it means a lot to me and I have so much respect for him".

Sidharth Malhotra started his acting career with Karan Johar's comedy-drama ‘Student of the Year’ in 2012, six years ago. He was last seen in Neeraj Pandey's crime thriller ‘ Aiyaary ’ which released last month in February, his 10th movie in six years.
