Sidharth Malhotra Talks About His Future Plans After Baar Baar Dekho’s Failure

Before its release, Sidharth-Katrina starrer romantic flick Baar Baar Dekho was the talk of the town. But, later the film received lukewarm reviews from the movie buffs, who even suggested its title to be changed to Kabhi Na Dekho. Despite full-fledged promotions done by its team, the movie saw major downfall at the Box Office and managed to garner only Rs. 25.53 crore by its fourth day.

In an interview, when Sidharth was asked whether he regrets his decision of signing Baar Baar Dekho, he said, he never questions his choices. According to him, failures like these gain your experience and make you wiser. It helps you in taking better decisions in the future. The 31-year-old actor was quoted as saying, “The experience has made me more conscious of my future. Had Baar Baar Dekho worked better maybe I wouldn’t be so careful with the modalities of making a film”.

The Student of the Year fame has also stated that from now on, he will go for those scripts only his heart would give permission to, no matter how many scenes it may have of him. He said, “I am going to choose only those scripts that I believe in. I stand by my choices. If I like a script and a role it doesn’t matter how many other actors are there or how many scenes I have. All the films that I’ve done so far tell stories that I want to tell”.

This was the first time the Kapoor and Sons actor and the Bang Bang actress have shared the screen space. It is true that Baar Baar Dekho has failed to impress the audience, but it is also true that the sizzling chemistry between its lead actors was loved and appreciated by all. On the work front, Sidharth is expected to be seen in Aashiqui 3, while Katrina is awaiting the release of her action-adventure film Jagga Jasoos, also starring Ranbir Kapoor.
